Subject: US running out of gas? - Apparently not!
To: Undisclosed-Recipient@,
The pipeline accident yesterday brings up some interesting food for thought!

JUST THINK ABOUT IT!

Why would Sempra Energy, Conoco Phillips and Kinder Morgan Energy Partners be building a 1,663 mile pipeline from Rio Blanco County, Colorado (the Rocky Mountain Basin) - East to Monroe County, Ohio if we are supposedly running out of Gas???  All but 136 miles of this "Rocky Mountain Express" pipeline is 42 inches in diameter, so this is no small potato pipeline system.  Why would they be doing this if US domestic supplies are in such decline???

The Rocky Mountain Basin is loaded and if this is not proof of that I don't know what is!!!

Apparently we in the West are supposed to lay down and play dead while Big Energy attempts to force hazardous, polluting, foreign gas in the form of LNG on our coastal communities at the same time they plan on shipping large volumes of plentiful domestic Rocky Mountain Basin Gas to the East??  These LNG Import terminals will not only lock utilities in the West into long term contracts at very high foreign prices but will also put our coastal communities, their livelihoods and people living along the extensive proposed interstate pipeline routes at enormous unnecessary risk!   What a scam!!  This is exactly what Loretta Lynch, former California Public Utility Commission Chair (2000-2005) explained to our Governor's staff in August.  I have DVD's of her speaking in California explaining this whole issue for anyone who would like to purchase.
